I have been working for Dorothy since I retired in 2003. Prior to that I spent 35 years in the soft drink industry in Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and as a production Operations Manager. I spend a couple of days a week in the office and my duties include new client interviews, office and personnel management and marketing. l thoroughly enjoy the time I spend here with our clients and staff. lt is rewarding to be able to work with an attorney and staff that are so dedicated to their clients.
Carol Roberts is a former Delta Airlines flight attendant who began working for the firm in 2000 as a legal assistant. She is familiar with all aspects of the firm, however, she took an early retirement from Delta to pursue her passion for numbers. After studying accounting and bookkeeping, she has become in charge of the firm’s finances.
Amanda Newingham is a case Manager and paralegal for Dorothy Bartholomew pLLC, specializing in chapter I 3. Amanda has been with our law firm since 2006. over the course ofher time at our law firm, Amanda has prepared and managed over 1,000 bankruptcy cases both chapter 7 and chapter 13. Amanda has b.”n a Notary public since 2008. Amanda has attended many classes and seminars in relation to bankruptcy, such as trial preparation, calculating the means test, and preparing the chapter 13 plan. Amanda will be returning to college in the fall of 2015, and aspires to become a lawyer. She lives in Orting, WA, with her husband, her daughter, and her two stepchildren.
Samantha is the receptionist for the office as well as one of our legal assistants. She has been with our office for a little over two years. She graduated with her bachelors in political science at the age of 20 and immediately went to school to get her paralegal certificate following graduation. She plans to attend law school in the next few years. Samantha also has a corgi named Bentley that she loves to take on adventures to the ocean.
Jennifer has been the Receptionist in the office since 2009. Since then, Jennifer has been the first point of contact and does everything from scheduling to handling creditors to helping clients feel at ease throughout the bankruptcy process. Jennifer attended college at IADT from 2005 to 2007, has been a Notary Public since 2011 and has many certificates from Fred Pryor classes and seminars. Most recently, Jennifer has had the opportunity to apply her legal knowledge and love of learning to her new position as a legal assistant. Jennifer is a dog lover and looks forward to creating “funny” Christmas cards featuring her 4.5 lb. Chihuahua, Mimzy.
